arvato services healthcare expands consulting services

Constantly changing external and internal demands, as well as the trend towards increased outsourcing, pose complex strategic questions for more and more healthcare companies when it comes to the design of their supply chains. arvato services healthcare has created the Supply Chain Solutions Department to respond to the increased demand for expert consultation and solution development.

The new department will make professional consulting services available to existing and new customers in order to offer even more efficient solutions along the supply chain. The department will focus on the development of new channel strategies and pan-European distribution models, integrated SCM and CRM services as well as the optimization of existing processes. Supply Chain Solutions will ensure that the people and skills from the various arvato divisions can be bundled and transferred as a high-performance, cost-effective solution for the benefit of arvato healthcare customers.

Under the direction of Fabian Treese the first consulting projects have already been successfully completed. The team developed a new multi-user concept for the twice-daily delivery of goods to pharmacies. This holistic concept includes multi-channel order processing, accounts receivable management and logistics processing – in short, all services within the order-to-cash cycle. The multi-client solution provides participating pharmaceutical companies with direct access to pharmacies as well as a cost-effective system for supplying the pharmacy market, with the goods remaining the property of the pharmaceutical companies until they reach the pharmacy.

For one existing customer, the department analyzed its current supply chain structures in Europe. In multi-day customer workshops, various scenarios based on current and foreseeable market demand were carefully analyzed and discussed. The result was a comprehensive cost-benefit evaluation for each scenario, which now provides the customer with concrete decision-making support vis-à-vis its future distribution strategy in Europe.

This new, comprehensive consulting service will make arvato services healthcare an even more valuable strategic partner – one that can provide tailored support to customers from the conception phase through to implementation.
