The passive cold chain management process uses a specially developed insulated box that safes temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals. It has been validated for 48 hours regardless of product in simulated winter and summer conditions. The insulated box is designed especially for cooling logistics to withstand mechanical stresses during transport and meets legal requirements for environmental friendliness and fire protection.
This arvato services healthcare insulated box is protected as a utility model under German law governing intellectual property rights. The insulated Neopor® box with its specially shaped inner wall and doubly secured lid has been validated for the temperature ranges 2 to 8 °C and 2 to 25 °C. The validation was done at minimum and maximum filling. Temperature measurements were taken both in the product as well as outside it.

The international outsourcing and logistics services provider will distribute a wide range of medical products for the molecular diagnostics company from its base in Monheim to laboratories and scientific institutions. In addition, arvato will provide packaging, in- and outbound transport, storage logistics services and refrigerated logistics.
